Well played by the folks at the helm of the National Parks Service socials with this recent post about planning your trip ahead of time to avoid heartbreak at the entrance gate so you don’t end up like the Griswold family.

This keen reference from the 1983 R-rated comedy classic National Lampoon’s Vacation is spot on. There may not be moose posted at the entrance of our National Parks but if there were we would hope you treat them better than Clark.

National Park Service:

Planning ahead for your trip saves the moose at the gate from having to tell you the park’s closed. (It’s a whole thing, they complain to management…moose this, meese that. It’s a big mess, is what it is.) Amoose yourself and check out our trip planning guide HERE.
