STEAMBOAT, Colorado – Video shot near the Steamboat Ski Resort shows a pair of bear cubs investigating a stopped car on the road. Shot by Don Jesús Martínez and shared to multiple news organizations, including Steamboat Radio, the clip shows two cubs of a set of triplets wandering around the Burgess Creek area.

According to Denver 7, these two bear cubs may be the same caught climbing the Wild Blue Gondola lift tower in April. This grouping is certainly going to be a handful as they grow older.

This is a good reminder to those living in bear territory to follow necessary guidelines to keep you, your children, your pets, and the bears safe. This means keeping garbage in a secure building, keeping smelly items in a freezer or tightly wrapped securely until garbage day, rinsing and cleaning empty food containers, and making use of bear proof garbage containers. There’s plenty more guidelines to follow, and you can read about all of them on the American Bear Association website.
