An escaped elephant ran the streets of Butte, Montana for 10 hectic minutes this afternoon, crossing multiple intersections and walking through the parking lot of Montana Lil’s Casino. The pachyderm is part of a circus that is currently in town and seems to have gotten spooked by a truck before making a break for it. Thankfully its handlers got the situation under control quickly but for a brief moment it had the run of the city. The elephant was unharmed and there was no major property damage, it did however take an elephant sized dump on someone’s lawn before getting recaptured.
