If you’ve been looking for a sign to pick up a new bike, let this be it. The Pope’s Special Edition Pinarello Dogma F12, given to him by professional cyclist Egan Bernal, is currently up for auction through a private seller on Catawiki. That’s right, the Pope’s bike, and the current bid is just €8,500 (though it’s yet to meet reserve price).

Egan Bernal gave the bike to Pope Francis on June 16, 2021, just after winning the INEOS Grenadiers their 12th Grand Tour victory at the Giro d’Italia. It’s a size 53, and it features a Shimano Ultregra gearbox, a Most Ultra Talon handlebar, and Vision wheels.

Bernal decides to give Pope Francis the Pink Jersey he just won and a custom Pinarello Dogma F12 bicycle, as a symbolic gesture of gratitude. Having grown up in a Catholic family, the Pope’s blessing represents one of the most important symbols for him.

The bike is decorated with the Argentine flag and is estimated to be worth between 25,000 and 30,000 Euros. While the highest bid is currently just €8,500, the auction does run until Sunday, leaving plenty of time for the price to creep up. Shipping, additionally, will cost €50.

An Egan Bernall signed Pink Jersey from the Giro d’Italia, also gifted to Pope Francis, is also up for auction, currently sitting at 300 euros. That one doesn’t have a reserve price, so you might be able to grab it for a solid low price.
