ARAPAHOE BASIN, Colorado – Arapahoe Basin is closed today, March 14, due to extreme weather conditions and a closed highway. According to the area’s website, 15 inches of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours alone, and more snow is expected throughout the day today.

Due to extreme weather conditions and the highway to the ski area being closed, we are unable to open. Please do not attempt to come to A-Basin until we post an all clear. We hope to see you tomorrow!” – Arapahoe Basin

Those who purchased lift tickets, reserved rentals, or scheduled lessons for today are encouraged to contact guest services at (882) 272-7246 or guestservices@a-basin.net for rescheduling and refunds.

Major portions of Colorado’s I-70 heading through the mountains are closed today as well, making travel into the mountains both extremely limited and extremely difficult. If you need to travel on the roads in Colorado today, please make sure to be aware of road closures and please make sure to prepare for the conditions. Pack extra emergency supplies in your car, and ensure that you have proper traction devices (tires, chains, etc) before heading onto the roads.
