The Major Differences Between Skiing In Europe & North America

Skiing in Europe has many distinct differences from shredding in North America. But is it worth traveling across the pond for North American skiers and riders?

Last week, PeakRankings released a detailed video breaking down the major differences between skiing in Europe and North America. They conducted their research while visiting six European resorts, which included Les 3 Vallées, Chamonix, Zermatt/Cervinia, Verbier, Crans-Montana, and Andermatt.

Some of the major differences that PeakRankings pointed out include the interconnectivity of the resorts, terrain ratings, lift infrastructure, public transportation, on-mountain dining, après, and lift ticket prices. Ultimately, it sounds like Europe has a great atmosphere and modern infrastructure, but the snow quality is usually not as good compared to top North American skiing destinations.
