BETHEL, Alaska – 38-year-old Elliot Edwards of Pilot Station, Alaska, was issued a citation by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers for using a motor vehicle to harass a moose.

According to a Daily Dispatch from the Alaska Department of Public Safety, Edwards allegedly posted a video to Facebook capturing a moose being chased by a vehicle along the Yukon River. The vehicle, reportedly a four wheeler, continues to chase the moose despite it’s attempts to escape to safety, with the animal eventually slipping on ice.

Investigation determined on January 29, 2024, Edwards used a red Honda four-wheeler to chase a calf moose until it slipped on the ice. He was issued a citation for using a motor vehicle to harass, herd, drive, or molest game.

Arraignment in a Bethel court is set to occur on March 7, 2024.

According to Alaska Public Media, another man was recently cited for advertising guiding and transportation services without the proper licenses. That man, 22-year-old Richard Greene, is also set to appear in the same Bethel court on March 7.
