In terms of snow conditions, one of the roughest-hit states this season has been Montana. A lack of substantial snowfall has resulted in late openings for many ski areas and an underwhelming snowpack. Warm weather this week hasn’t helped out the cause.

Due to the lack of snow and warm weather, Turner Mountain opened for the season back on January 15th. Conditions have been up and down since then, with them not being able to operate on some days. Yesterday, Turner announced they will be closed until they get more snowfall. Turner has an operating schedule of Fridays- Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Snow is in the forecast on Saturday and Sunday in Montana, so we’ll see if their fortunes turn around soon.

On a side note… that’s an awesome snow stake.

It’s a good thing the author of this article isn’t currently flying out to Montana to ski! *Checks notes*…. god dammit.
