A few weeks ago, we talked about the Snowtunnel, essentially a giant hamster wheel for skiers and snowboarders. Its 33-foot-diameter tunnel spins around, pulling the rider up the side while allowing gravity and real, made-from-frozen-water snow to pull the rider back down. When I say a giant hamster wheel for skiers and snowboarders, I mean a giant hamster wheel for skiers and snowboarders.

Well we’ve learned that the hamster wheel isn’t necessarily meant to stand alone. Why have one Snowtunnel sitting on its own, eventually creating a large line of impatient guests, when you could get the three tunnel multi-experience stage, connecting three of the contraptions into one great attraction.

See how three Snowtunnels connected together with a stage can provide entertainment for between 24 and 50 riders per hour.

Okay, one of these is obviously a pretty wild design on its own. I could see a single one appearing in an entertainment center or something like that, but three is just huge. I don’t know this stage would exist in the United States outside of a music festival, fair, or something similar.

That said, I think the possibilities of something like this are pretty cool. In the animation, we can see each tunnel being used for a different activity. One for teaching, one for snowboarding/skiing, and one for general messing around in the man-made snow. But what if one was used for skiing, one was used for snowboarding, and one was used for snow bikes? What kind of competitions could be made out of something like this?

I don’t go to many festivals, but I’d be a lot more excited by them if I knew something like this would be there. Hey Coachella organizers, take a look at this.
