It’s called Arosa Bärenland (or Arosa Bear Sanctuary in English) and its situated slope side at Arosa Ski Area in the Swiss Alps. Launched as a joint project by The Arosa Tourism Board, VIER PFOTEN, and the Arosa Ski Area, Arosa Bärenland is a bear sanctuary that is home to six bears that were rescued and brought to Switzerland. Of the six, one was used as a circus bear in Serbia and two formally lived in a private “mini zoo” in Albania. Arosa Bärenland focuses on education and animal welfare.
