It’s no secret that ski resorts across North America are struggling so far this winter. This is especially true in Montana, where some ski areas aren’t even open yet.

However, Showdown Montana has not only been able to open its slopes, but it also has all its lifts open. In terms of terrain, they currently have thirty of their thirty-nine trails open.

Because of this, Showdown is offering the passholders of local ski areas that aren’t open right now free skiing and riding. This includes Blacktail, Maverick Mountain, the Montana Snowbowl, Turner Mountain, and Teton Pass. This offer will be in effect for passholders until the mountain they have a pass to opens for the season.

George Clark-Gold, who’s the Digital Marketing Manager at Showdown, explained to The Missoulian why they’re doing this:

“We are really lucky to have the snow we do have and want to make sure we’re sharing it. We’re friends with some of the other people who run ski areas and they’re some of the best people, it just seems like the right thing to do.”

Shoutout to Showdown Montana for doing this, as this kind of thing needs to happen more often in the ski industry.
