Mount Bohemia has officially landed as the #1 Ski Resort in North America for USA Today’s Readers’ Choice award. That’s right, USA Today asked, and the people answered. Michigan’s Mount Bohemia is number one!

The competition began with a panel of ski experts selecting 20 resorts across the United States and Canada to be considered by the readers. The 20 were selected based on snowfall, terrain variation, lift access, and more. Mount Bohemia has the deepest snow (273″ average yearly snowfall) and the longest runs with the highest vertical (900 feet) of any resort in the midwest, and it features 625 acres of skiable terrain over eight sections of varying terrain and difficulty. In short, the midwest mountain certainly qualifies to be among the top twenty. From there, USA Today opened the competition to the public and Mount Bohemia was the crowd favorite.

While their #1 ranking is based on seasons of the past, skiing at Mount Bohemia will only get better this season and beyond. The extreme skiing resort is completing a massive three million dollar expansion heading into the 2023/24 season. Visitors will see 12 new trailside cabins, two new slopeside yurts that can sleep up to 13 each, new massage rooms and a new salt pod cabin, a new slopeside 22-person Panoramic Finnish sauna, and a new 22-person Himalayan salt sauna.

On the skiing and snowboarding side of things, Mount Bohemia will open three new glade runs, a brand new bottom terminal on its front side triple chair, and night skiing on Claimjumper. With all of these upgrades, Mount Bohemia is bound to be in the running for USA Today’s Top 10 once again in 2024.

SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS BE WARE! Mount Bohemia’s season pass is currently available for AS LOW AS $99, but that deal ends on Saturday, December 2! Act faster than the speed of light to take advantage of this incredible deal.
