What region in North America has the most reliable conditions? Utah tends to be considered the top place, but with crowds and parking fees on the rise, what are some other destinations to consider?

PeakRankings’ latest video broke down what regions in North America have the most reliable conditions by analyzing the snow quality, terrain openings, wind, and temperatures of each region. They created a score out of ten, and New England somehow didn’t get last place (s/o Jay Peak for saving us).

The least reliable region is Oregon due to its heavier snow and limited upper-elevation lift operations until the springtime. Lake Tahoe is in second to last place due to its feast and famine snow cycles.

Three regions had scores of 8.0 or above: the Canadian Rockies, Northern US Rockies, and Utah’s Cottonwoods. Utah’s Cottonwoods secured first place, which I disagree with. Everyone should go skiing in Colorado. Check out the Legendary Back Bowls, please.
