We’ve been covering the progress of Casa Bonita reopening ever since South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone purchased the restaurant in 2021 to save the iconic business from closing permanently. Trey and Matt pulled it off their passion project at great expense (HVAC system replacement alone cost $4 million) but thats what passion projects are about…who cares if it makes sense if it makes you feel good.
Haven’t yet had a chance to dine on tacos while watching the cliff divers entertain guests but I certainly will next time I’m in Denver. If you want to support the Casa Bonita but can’t do it by paying your tab in person, consider picking up a pair of skis or a snowboard from their online El Marcado.
Casa Bonita teamed up with fellow Colorado business Meier Skis to create these functional works of art featuring the unmistakable pink facade of “The Greatest Restaurant In The World.” Not sure if I’d have the heart to ride these things and risk dinging them up or if they would go directly above the mantel. The Outlaw is our original all-mountain board. Inspired by the Corsair plane, the V rocker in the center of the board engages in firm conditions while still allowing for soft float in powder. Riders find this hyper-unique design performing well all over the state (and beyond!) in every condition from icy early-season groomers, to mid-winter pow and spring slush alike.
