Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico has announced the completion of its new Pioneer chairlift. The original fixed-grip triple has been replaced with another fixed-grip triple, but significant improvements were made to the placement of the chairlift. Previously, this beginner-focused chairlift required either a magic carpet ride or a hike to reach it. With the new layout, the chair is now accessible from the base area.

Although the construction of the new Pioneer chairlift is complete, it is still ongoing testing before it welcomes riders. This lift is scheduled to open for the upcoming 23/24 ski season. Taos is still actively working on the Lift 4 replacement, which is also set to debut this year. Keep an eye on their social media channels for future updates.
