Wild scene captured on video at San Diego’s La Jolla Cove where beachgoers hightailed it after two wild sea lions came charging onshore. You can hear lifeguards issuing warnings for people to get back as they stormed the beach sending many for cover.
ABC7 reports in June a large algae bloom on California’s central and southern coasts was killing sea lions and dolphins, and the effects of the bloom may cause the animals to have distress and become aggressive. It is not clear if these sea lions were affected by the algae bloom.
No one was injured in this incident.
