Geologists predictions of an immanent rockslide that would put the Swiss alpine village of Brienz in danger have proven correct but thankfully the town, which was evacuated last month, avoided getting buried by the slimmest of margins. The rocks did indeed tumble down the mountain as predicted, but have came to rest just feet away from the mountain community.  Brienz isn’t in the clear quite yet as a large part of the mountain that it sits in the shadow of is still moving but for now disaster has been averted.
