Here’s your chance to own a piece of Oregon skiing history. Mt. Bachelor announced this week that they will be selling the chairs from the Skyliner Express. It will be replaced by a high-speed six-pack chairlift, which is being supplied by Doppelmayr.

The old chairs are being sold, with the winners being chosen via a lottery. If you win, purchasing the chair will cost $500. 100% of the proceeds will go towards the Play Forever Fund, which is distributing the proceeds to Vamonos Outside.  They are a local nonprofit dedicated to connecting, engaging, and inspiring Latinx families and community members into the outdoors.” Vamonos Outside will use the money raised to purchase a van, allowing more Latinx families in Central Oregon to experience skiing at Mt. Bachelor.

You can enter for a chance to win one of the fifty chairs for sale here. You’ll have to make a form submission before June 9th at 4 pm, with the winners being announced the next day. If you win, you’ll have to travel to Mt. Bachelor with a large vehicle to pick it up. With dimensions of 7′ x 2.5′ x 5′, and a weight of approximately 200 pounds, Mt. Bachelor recommends bringing at least two people to help carry it your vehicle.
