Wild river crossing from Nevada County, California where fire chief Mike Stewart filmed a black bear successfully crossing the fast-moving water South Yuba River. After taking a quick ride downstream in the swift currents the bear emerged on the far side bank. Chief Stewart said the adult black bears are much better swimmers than a humans and it’s unlikely that a human would have survived this crossing.
