Back in late 2019 and early 2020, a bushfire devastated a large portion of Australia. This included Selwyn Snow Resort in New South Wales’s Snowy Mountains, which saw significant damage from the fires.

The Daily Advertiser spoke with Selwyn Snow Resort, which has announced that it will be reopening this winter. They were originally expecting to reopen in 2022, but significant rainfall and snowfall, along with supply chain delays, stalled the renovations, leading them to aim for the 2023 season. The new additions since the bush fire include TT10 snowmaking equipment, a new visitors center/base lodge, and refurbished lifts.

Selwyn is expected to open during the 2023 season on June 10th and remain open until October 1st.
