Bogus Basin’s 80th anniversary has been a historical one. Over the offseason, Bogus Basin made many improvements. They opened on November 29th, their earliest opening in 28 years. So far this season, they’ve received 332 inches of snow, with 119″ coming in March. Their SNOTEL weather station site recorded a snow depth of 113”, which surpassed the previous record of 102″, which was set on April 1, 1983.
Because of all this, Bogus Basin in Idaho announced on Saturday that they’re moving their closing day to May 6th. This closing date will give Bogus its longest ski season ever. They’ll remain open for daily operations until April 16th. After that, they’ll be open Friday-Sundays until April 30th. On May 6th, they’ll host an aMAYzing 100″ Party to conclude the Basin’s incredible season.
