Our best wishes are going out to the 9-year-old boy who was hospitalized Wednesday after getting buried by roof avalanche in Alta.

The Gephard Daily reports an Alta Town Marshalโ€™s Office Deputy arrived within two minutes of the slide and began a search using an avalanche probe. The boyย was eventually located and extracted from the snow. At the time, he was in a semi-conscious.

The boy was transported by ambulance to a Life Flight Helicopter at an Alta Ski Area Landing zone and flown to Primary Childrenโ€™s Hospital. According to a press release by the Alta Marshalโ€™s Office, the boy is in an improved and stable condition.
