Meteorologist Chris Tomer is forecasting significant snowfall totals for most resorts across the west and the northeast over the next week!

A high pressure ridge is currently forcing the jet up into Canada, which means no significant snowfall over the next couple of days, but Tomer believes the jet will drop and bring snow for most ski resorts.

On the other side of the country, Tomer is forecasting significant snow to continue throughout the week for all of New England.

Here are his forecasted snow totals for notable areas in the northeast through February 2nd:

Mt. Washington: 24 inches

Jay Peak: 21 inches

Sugarloaf: 19 inches

Whiteface: 17 Inches

Keep those powder boards waxed. Winter is finally here!
