You’ve surely heard of towns that straddle state borders, but Beebe Plain is unique as it stretches across two countries.
The border runs across a road, splits homes, and breaks up properties all through Beebe Plain. One side is the US, and the other is Canada.
Watch the short video below by The Globe and Mail detailing how things have changed in Beebe Plain in recent years.
“Beebe Plain is a town divided. The Canada/U.S. border runs down the middle of Canusa Street, putting one side of the village in Quebec, and the other in Vermont.
Locals describe how the necessity of routinely crossing the border has changed over the years.”
