Mt Shasta, California, is no stranger to colossal snowfalls. The California volcano often sees huge amounts of snow during atmospheric river events such as the one occurring this weekend.

*note: To be clear, this is snowfall totals for the summit of Mt Shasta, not the ski resort. 

According to NOAA, the summit of Mount Shasta, California, is forecasted to receive as much as 141 inches of snow. That’s an average of 35 inches per day for the next four days. To put that in context, that is more snow than many ski resorts will see all season.
