Temps are slowly starting to climb after a deep cold spell swept across the majority of the Midwest and East Coast.

I personally saw dozens of kids playing hockey on the freshly-frozen ponds all around southeastern Pennsylvania- something that isn’t all that common these days.

They were out enjoying the smooth ice in the crisp air, but it’s safe to say that any hockey player or ice skater would rather be skating in the scene pictured in the video below.

Scott Crady (@scottcrady) posted a video of a dozen or so people playing a game of hockey on the frozen waters of Chasm Lake, which is one of the most picturesque landscapes of Rocky Mountain National Park, CO.

Check it out:

“9 miles of hiking to play hockey at 12k feet in Rocky Mountain National Park. Who are you bringing next year?”

I’m not even a hockey guy, but sign me up!

I will very willingly hike 9 miles roundtrip to play hockey on a beautiful alpine lake at 12,000 feet of elevation.
