Paralympic skiers are some of the most impressive athletes on the planet.

The skill, strength, and discipline it takes to manage a sit-ski rig while flying at high speeds on a downhill course is truly remarkable.

The video below shows US Paralympian Tyler Walker crashing HARD while competing during the 2014 Sochi Games.

Check it out:

Walker’s 2014 games ended after the crash, but he was ultimately okay.

He posted the image below to social media with a caption explaining that he miraculously didn’t break anything in the violent fall.

I’m ok! I don’t remember crashing but I didn’t break anything. Thanks so much for all the support, it means everything. I totally got a ride in a Russian helicopter, though!”

Walker went on to compete for the United States in the 2018 Paralympics in Pyeongchang South Korea. He took home Silver medals in downhill sit skiing and downhill giant slalom skiing!

The guts to return to high-level racing after such a brutal fall is absolutely remarkable.

Plus winning two Silver medals for your country is truly badass.
