The New Hampshire ski season officially began on Saturday, as Bretton Woods opened with one trail and one lift. On Sunday, they opened up their Learning Center Quad to get beginners back on the slopes. Currently, they have the Range View and the Rosebrook Meadow trails open. For chairlifts, the Zephyr Express and Learning Center are operating.

Craig Clemmer, who is the director of sales and marketing at Omni Mount Washington Resort (which operates Bretton Woods), described to WMUR News 9 how the first day of the season felt for them:

“Electrifying. When that first lift went up everybody was cheering. It was pretty phenomenal to get out this early in the season and get those first turns in.”

In terms of who opens next in the 603, Loon Mountain has been blowing snow on over ten trails, so an opening is likely soon. Other potential openings this week include Cranmore, Mount Sunapee, and Wildcat Mountain.
