Every skier’s favorite meteorologist Chris Tomer is back with another Mountain Weather update. Here’s the good news- he’s predicting most of the west to get slammed by a major early-season storm.

Tomer is calling for anywhere from 30-48″ (that’s up to 4 FEET) of snow to fall across The Sierras, and 12-24″ to hit most of Utah, Wyoming, and Montana.

Colorado will get the leftovers from the storm, but early-season skiers at Arapahoe Basin, Loveland, Keystone, Winter Park, and Breckenridge will enjoy a nice refresh with 4-6″ forecasted.

Take a look at Tomer’s full forecast below and get stoked. Winter is here in the west!

For all of my fellow east coast skiers- I stand with you in solidarity. It’s absolutely brutal to see our neighbors to the west get snow while we’re stuck in a warm spell, but winter will come.

Good things happen to those that wait. That’s how that saying goes, right?

We’ll have our time to shine.
