After hosting its past three events at Black Mountain in New Hampshire, Last Skier Standing is hosting their next one at Black Mountain of Maine. The endurance event involves skiers needing to skin up the mountain and ski back down within every hour, or else the contestant is eliminated. Whoever lasts the longest wins, with the current record being set at 65 hours. Black Mountain has a thriving uphill scene, with a run devoted towards uphill skinners. This looks like a great match for both sides.

The official press release from Ski The Whites is below.

Ski The Whites is excited to announce a new partnership with Black Mountain of Maine for the fourth edition of the Last Skier Standing event in February 2023. Last Skier Standing is an endurance ski event for those in search of a personal challenge. Each skier must complete one lap up and down the ski area every hour, on the hour, until there is only one skier left. The record currently stands at 65 hours.

This year, Last Skier Standing is transitioning to a new venue: Black Mountain of Maine. Located in Rumford, ME, Black Mountain is an independent resort with the perfect amount of elevation gain and terrain for this event.

The event is hosted by Ski the Whites, a backcountry ski, bike, and run specialty shop located in Jackson, NH.
