Great news for all you Colorado skier and snowboarders, Loveland Ski Area has fired up their snowguns yesterday and is hoping to kickoff the season mid to late October. It usually take about two weeks of snowmaking to lay down the 18-inch base required to start spinning lifts for guests.  NEWS9 reports Loveland opened last year with a full top-to-bottom run made up of the trails Catwalk, Mambo and Home Run. The opening day run is 1,000 vertical feet and over a mile in length. Get them skis and boards waxed and ready to go…ski season is imminent!
