If you’re looking to watch a great movie this weekend, the story of one of the biggest tragedies in skiing’s history is heading to the big screen. Buried: The 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche debuted in select theaters last weekend and is having a nationwide release starting today.

The film covers the events of the fateful day, as millions of pounds of snow pummeled down the mountain, leading to the base area and parking lot becoming buried in snow. Eight victims were buried, and the ensuing five days became a search for these people. Seven people were found dead, while one individual was saved thanks to a rescue dog.

You can view the theaters where they will be releasing it here. After that, it will be heading to Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV for streaming on November 8th.
