Trollhaugen, located in western Wisconsin, has been a sneaky contender to be the first ski area in the country open over the last couple of seasons.
In fact, Trollhaugen was the 2nd open in the entire country when they opened for the season on October 25th, 2020.
Temps dipped just below freezing last night up at Trollhaugen, and while humidity kept the ski area from actually producing snow, the snowmakers gave it their best go.

It’s a bummer that they couldn’t actually make snow, but just seeing snow guns firing is a sight for sore eyes.
