Some ski resorts, such as Saas-Fee, Switzerland, utilize a method of snow preservation called ‘track packing’.

The idea is to create large berms while packing down snow to make it last longer. The berms will catch snow that’s blowing in the wind, and the packed in snow won’t be as easily blown away.

It’s an effective method to keep the season going longer, and it looks like plain damn fun. Check out the clip below:
