Yellowstone National Park – Part of the draw of national parks, without a doubt, is the opportunity to get a good view of different animals in their natural habitats. Unfortunately, it’s not actually that common for park visitors to see anything more interesting than some birds or several squirrels.

These Yellowstone guests, on the other hand, were treated to quite the experience! Not just wolves, not just a bear, and not just wolves and a bear, but an actual dispute between wolves and a bear!

It is estimated that there are around 120 individual wolves in Yellowstone NAtional Park distributed across 9 packs. There are only 150 to 200 grizzly bears live within or partially within Yellowstone National Park’s boundaries making this chance encounter quite rare.

It appears that this bear was attempting to get his hands on whatever food the wolf pack had hunted down, but these wolves weren’t having it. So, instead of everyone having a nice meal and sleeping well at the end of the day, we get to see this fun video.

I think the best part is the bear’s attempt to intimidate the wolves, standing up on his hind legs to look big, only to immediately book it to the tree right after. Hopefully Mr. Bear found some food later that day…
