This Friday is going to be a great day to bid on some old Vermont ski chairs.  With Vail Resort’s Epic Lift Upgrade in full swing this summer, it’s become a great time to buy an old ski chair. Attitash, Heavenly, and many other Vail properties have sold some old chairs and trail signs in the past couple of years, and now Mount Snow and Stowe have joined the party. This Friday, both ski resorts will be auctioning off old chairs starting at 12 p.m. EST and will end Saturday at 12 p.m. EST. The chairs being auctioned off at Stowe are from the old Mountain Triple, while Mount Snow is giving away Tumbleweed Triple and Subrook Quad chairs. For Stowe, the money raised from the auction will go towards the Epic Promise Foundation, Lamoille Community House, and the Lamoille Family Center. The proceeds raised at the Mount Snow auction will go towards the Epic Promise Foundation.

The minimum bids for the ninety-seven chairs that are available at Stowe will start at $200. Mount Snows minimum bids mostly start at $150, but bids for two Gold chairs from the Tumbleweed Triple are commencing at $300. The winner of the chairs at Stowe will need to pick them up on June 26th, and Mount Snow winners will need to pick them up on either June 25th or June 26th.
