Historic snowfall has allowed numerous Australian ski resorts to open up a week ahead of schedule. The early snow allowed Perisher, Mount Buller, Falls Creek, and Hotham Alpine Resort to open for the season. Multiple resorts also saw significant snowfall over the weekend, as Australia is shaping up to potentially have the best ever start to its ski season. Additionally, Australia’s travel restrictions have eased up after the past two challenging Covid-19 years, which caused multiple lockdowns and temporary ski resort closures.
