Professional climbers, like many extreme athletes, usually don’t have massive team contracts to provide them money, and climbing events aren’t as televised as more popular sports throughout the world, so advertisement revenue is much of an option for climbers to put food on their table. How, then, can these athletes afford to commit so much of their life to the sport?
