Bert Kreischer gets it. He gets disc golf. For that reason, he’s now one of my favorite comedians. Yeah. It’s that simple to get my fandom.

Okay, in all seriousness, I think Kreischer is pretty funny, but I got pretty excited when I learned about his obsession with disc golf. He told Joe Rogan all about how he got into it, and how he plans to host a tournament with a $1 million purse in the future.

I don’t normally watch/listen to Joe Rogan (not for political reasons. I just genuinely don’t get his whole macho-man, elk-eating, drug-using, body-hacking, inquisitive shtick.), but I’ll listen to just about anybody if it involves disc golf.

Yeah, my obsession is getting out of hand…

I hope Kreischer is able to hold that tournament. It sounds like an awesome opportunity to bring disc golf to the mainstream, and I know that it will attract a whole new wave of fans.

Disc golf is cheap, fun, and has a lower barrier to entry than traditional golf. I just got into it a couple of years ago, but I could easily see it popping off amongst kids, teenagers, and college kids with the right publicity.

Kreischer posted some of his throws during an outing back in February. Love his passion for the game!

I’m gonna be pretty vain here for a moment (sorry), but Bert- if you’re reading this, hit me up. Let me know how Unofficial Networks can help. We got a few guys here who know their way around a hyzer flip.

Disc golf is cool. Don’t let anybody tell you differently.
