South Dakota dealt with some wild weather on Thursday, particularly in Sioux Falls, which is the state’s most populous city. The Argus Leader reports that a dust storm that featured heavy winds struck Sioux Falls, with gusts reaching between sixty to seventy miles per hour. Some parts of eastern South Dakota saw winds in excess of 80-100 miles per hour. Tornados, thunderstorms, and dust storms also ravaged the eastern portions of the state, leading to tens of thousands of people losing power. Property damage was plentiful, and two people sadly passed away. These wild videos from the National Weather Service Sioux Falls and Argus Leader show the wild scenes from the storm.
