If you live in British Columbia, this is one of the best opportunities to pick up a historic chairlift or gondola. With two major lift replacements coming to Whistler Blackcomb next winter, the demolition process is underway for the Big Red Express and Creekside Gondola. Starting today at 9 am PST (Pacific Standard Time) today, the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation is auctioning off the Red chairs and Creekside gondola cabins. The proceeds will go towards the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation and the Epic Promise Foundation.
The Red Chairs cost $500 per unit, and the Creekside Gondola cabins cost $900. If you are able to acquire one, you will need to show up at Lot 8 to pick them up either on May 25th from 3 to 7 pm PST, or May 28th from 10 am to 2 pm PST.
