Phoenix 3TV/CBS 5 is reporting that Phoenix-area skier Bed Edson is out $10,000 worth of gear after a trip to Telluride earlier this season.

Edson’s gear was reportedly misplaced by American Airlines on his return flight to Phoenix Sky Harbor. American Airlines eventually located his gear, and hired a driver to deliver the bags directly to Edson’s home.

Edson never received the gear, and suspects that the delivery driver stole the goods. The driver, later identified as Steven McClendon, has since been arrest.

American Airlines ended up offering Edson a $5,000 settlement.

What a crock of sh*t, right? Dude’s ski gear was lost, which in itself sucks, and then it was stolen by the delivery driver…?! Then American Airlines won’t even reimburse him for the full value of gear that was stolen?

Get your sh*t together American Airlines!

*Quick note… What kind of gear was this guy carrying that cost $10,000? I might have a little less sympathy for him if he’s one of those dudes that bought those Gold Plated Bentley Skis…*
