“Yes, I am definitely planning on competing at the 2026 Olympics. Um I will be taking a full season off of competition though, just for you know, my mental health just want to kind of reset, don’t want to get right back into it after such a fun, but draining year at the same time, knowing that it was an Olympic year. So, um I just want to enjoy this moment, take it all in and then get back to it when I’m feeling ready, but as of now the plan is most definitely to go after a third medal.” –Chloe Kim

Two-time Olympic gold medal winning halfpipe snowboarder Chloe Kim is going to cool her jets for a year after defending her title in Beijing in Feburary.  Chloe also took a season off back in 2018 after winning gold in PyeongChang at age 17.  She plans to enjoy the moment, focus on her studies and mental health while fully planning on returning for the 2026 Olympics in Milan-Cortina, Italy. Check out the interview with Cheddar News below where she announced her decision.
