Hey there friends. I have a quick question for you- Why hasn’t somebody who organizes cross-country skiing events tried to spice up the sport a little bit with downhill races?
Hear me out…
I just think that if you’re really a great XC skier you should be able to fly downhill in a skier-cross type race.
That might sound impossible, but people used to think it was impossible to reach the moon. Ya know?
My inspiration for this idea comes from the video below. I’m not sure if they do these kinds of things in Europe more often, but I’ve never seen XC skiers do any kind of mass start race that’s mostly downhill.
