I’m really sorry to say this folks- but the ski season is coming to and end for resorts across the country.

It’s that sad time of year where the snow is rapidly melting, the days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and skis are starting to collect dust in anticipation for next season.

Somebody smarted than me once said, ‘Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.’ While I hate the fact that phrase has become a cliché, it’s a pretty good motto to live by.

So, in an effort to stay positive (sorry for being so dramatic), Sun Valley Resort, ID is throwing a weekend full of events to celebrate an awesome season.

The weekend kicks off with a huge Easter egg hunt, and wraps up with an awesome Easter Sunday brunch at The Sun Valley Club.

Check out the full press release of events from Sun Valley below, and I hope some of you are able to get out there to have some fun!

Sun Valley will close for the winter season on Sunday, April 17th.

End of Season Parties, Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and Spring Skiing at Sun Valley

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Baldy Bash Street Party, and closing day at Warm Springs set for the weekend of April 15-17th

Sun Valley, ID (April 4, 2022) – Spring has sprung, which means the 2021-22 winter season is winding down but gearing up with parties, live music, family activities and the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Sun Valley Village. Skiers and riders have two more weekends to enjoy Bald Mountain, with the last day of the season scheduled on Sunday, April 17th on the Warm Springs slopes.

The last weekend of the season will begin with the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Sun Valley Village on Friday, April 15th. With over 8,000 eggs, it is one of the largest and most anticipated events each spring. Starting at 5:00 pm sharp, kids 10 and under are grouped into zones based on age, so everyone will have a shot at filling their basket. After the egg hunt, kids can take a ride on the train, snap a photo with the Easter Bunny, or head over to The Toy Store for glitter tattoos and face painting. Admission is free for all events.

On Saturday April 16th, head over to Warm Springs for the Baldy Bash, an end-of-season street party with live music, a barbeque and a bar complete with bubbles from Veuve Clicquot. Live music from the Piston Bullies will kick things off at 2:30 pm, with headliner Casio Dreams hitting the outdoor stage around 4:00 pm to keep the party rolling. Party-goers should plan to wear their best retro ski gear to celebrate spring in style. Admission is free. Guests are encouraged to utilize Mountain Rides Blue, Bronze, and Red routes which have all been extended through April 17th

Sunday, April 17th marks Bald Mountain’s last day of the season. DJ Marlin will be stoking the festivities at Warm Springs from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. This last day of the season celebration will have a barbeque and bar on the patio. Costumes are optional but always encouraged.

Easter brunch at the Sun Valley Club is also on Sunday, April 17thfrom 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
