Loveland Ski Area took to social media this morning to alert guests that the ski area will be closed today, April 5th, 2022. Loveland is reportedly experiencing high winds that are expected to last throughout the day.
The forecast on Loveland’s website is calling for a high of 24 degrees, snow accumulating 3-5″, and wind guests reaching 60-75mph. The image below was captured from one of Loveland’s webcams this morning.
Due to high winds, Loveland Ski Area will not open today, Tuesday, April 5.
Winds gusts are preventing us from safely operating our lifts, and they are expected to increase throughout the day. We apologize for any inconvenience and expect to resume operations tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/pBxbrQdMby

Sounds like Loveland made the right decision to not spin lifts today. I always respect when a ski area/resort listens to mother nature and plays it safe!
