Mount Bohemia, MI Has More Snowfall This Season Than 15+ Big Name Resorts

You thought we were kidding when we said that it can absolutely dump up at Mount Bohemia, MI (Boho) didn’t you? You fools! 😉

Mount Bohemia is blessed with over 270+” of annual snowfall thanks to generous lake effect snow from Lake Superior, and this season has been one to remember. Boho lies on the Keweenaw Peninsula, a northern off-shoot of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The mountain is currently reporting 281″ YTD while other parts of the Keweenaw Peninsula are reporting more than 300″!

280″ might not seem like a whole lot to those of you that are blessed to frequent western resorts, but you’re wrong. 280″ on a 900′ vertical mountain that’s ungroomed, and chock-full of excellent glade skiing makes for a great season.

Need further proof? Here’s a list of resorts that have received less snowfall than Mount Bohemia this season.

It’s actually kind of shocking…

Sundance Mountain Resort, UT: 128″

Bridger Bowl Ski Area, MT: 158″

Keystone Resort, CO: 159″

Park City Mountain Resort, UT: 169″

Deer Valley Resort, UT: 192″

Stowe Mountain Resort, VT: 195″

Loveland Ski Area, CO: 204″

Powder Mountain, UT: 206″

Beaver Creek Resort, CO: 214″

Vail Ski Resort, CO: 219″

Snowbasin, UT: 224″

Breckenridge, CO: 226″

Whitefish Mountain Resort, MT: 234″

Winter Park Resort, CO: 247″

Kirkwood Mountain Resort, CA: 250″

Schweitzer, ID: 254″

Jay Peak Resort, VT: 257″

So, yeah… Mount Bohemia gets dumped on. It can compete with the big names of skiing, and this year they’ve definitely proved that.
