ImageOne of the most popular and strenuous hikes in the White Mountains of New Hampshire is getting major improvements. WMUR reports that $1.1 million will be allocated to repair and realign the hiking trail. The project is expected to take up to five years. The 9.3-mile roundtrip hike averages over one thousand guests a day during peak season, and usually averages 6-7 hours to complete.
