Did you know that Mt. Hood Meadows has a run called Super Bowl? Peak Rankings released a video last week that describes the experience of hiking up one of Mt. Hood Meadows’s gnarliest trails: the Super Bowl. The hike takes one to two hours and has a seventeen hundred feet vertical drop. The rarely open run is usually open in the later portions of the Spring, so it’s unlikely you’ll be able to shred it on a Super Bowl Sunday. Bringing a beacon, probe, shovel, and a friend are required due to the avalanche risk. Peak Rankings makes some of the best informative ski resort reviews on the internet, which you can check out here.
