Due to maintenance issues with their main double chairlift, the High Trail Express, Soldier Mountain in Fairfield, Idaho will not be open this weekend. KTVB7 reports that the ski area only has two chairlifts, and only the High Trail Express starts from their base area. Solider Mountain is hoping that the High Trail Express, also known as Chair 1, will reopen next Thursday. In the meantime, Soldier Mountain will run its cat-skiing operations on Saturday.
